Since September 2016, we have offered a bus service from Coventry to Nuneaton. The cost of the service is £175 per term (less than £3 per day) to be paid at the start of each term. If your household income is less than £25,000p.a. then you may qualify for a bursary. For more information please contact our finance office.
If you prefer to travel to College by train then it may be worth purchasing a 16-25 year old railcard. It costs £30 and save you 1/3 off rail fares. However it can only be used off peak and a minimum fare of £12 applies to all journeys made before 10am Monday-Friday. This does not apply on public holidays or in July/August. NUS Extra Card
For a further 10% discount on advance tickets with Cross Country trains, you can apply for an NUS extra card, at a cost of £12. Once you have the NUS extra card, just visit crosscountrytrains.co.uk/nus, enter your details, select your journey & if valid the discount will be applied.
16-18 year old students can apply for a 16-18 photocard. Applicants must be in full time education and live within one of the seven District Council areas of the West Midlands County i.e. Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall or Wolverhampton. This entitles the student to child rate session tickets or child ratecash fares to and from College within the Network West Midlands area,travelling either by train, bus or metro. You must submit your 16-18 application online at www.networkwestmidlands.com/16-18.

New starters living over 2 miles away from college who are facing financial difficulties due to transport costs may be eligible for some assistance. The Student Bursary Fund is paid to the College to help students with the cost of studying. It is designed to help students who are, or whose families are, on a low income or in particular financial difficulty. Application forms are available from the Finance Office and evidence of household income would be necessary as funds are limited.
If a suitable Warwickshire County Council or public transport does not operate near to your home, an annual travel allowance of £110 (or £220 if the student is from a low income family) is available. Subject to conditions.
