King Edward VI College is easily accessible which is why many of our students travel from Coventry, Hinckley, Tamworth, Kingsbury and surrounding areas. Located in central Nuneaton the college is just 5 minutes walk from the bus and train station.

Travelling By Bus

Stagecoach and Arriva has a number of discounted ticket options available ranging from weekly to termly passes. Information is available at www.stagecoachbus.com and www.arrivabus.co.uk where you can search by area and plan your journey, there is an option to purchase your ticket online.

College Bus

We are offering a College Bus from the Kingbury area. The cost of the service will be £175 per term (less than £3 per day) to be paid at the start of each term. If your household income is less than £26,500p.a. then you may qualify for a bursary.

Travelling By Train

If you prefer to travel to College by train then it may be worth purchasing a 16-25 railcard which saves you a 1/3 off rail fares.

Travelling by Car

Please note if you are travelling by car, site restrictions mean we are unable to provide student car parking facilities. Parking is also restricted around the side streets, and you are advised to park in a public car park.

Travelling by Bike

If you are cycling to College, ensure you have a good quality, sturdy bike lock.

Discount Cards

NUS Extra Card

16-18 Photocard

16-18 year old students can apply for a 16-18 photocard. Applicants must live within one of the seven District Council areas of the West Midlands County i.e. Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall or Wolverhampton.  This entitles the student to child rate season tickets or child rate cash fares to and from College within the Network West Midlands area. Financial Help

You may be eligible for our Student Bursary fund if you live more than two miles away from college and the family income is less than £26,500 a year.
